    Online harassment of familiarity

    Online users are most harassed from family and surrounding people. Software giant Microsoft's Civil, Safety and Interactions Online-017, a report titled This information is available.



    This survey was done to find out the effect of online risk factors and their involvement in adolescents and adults.

    The survey was conducted in 23 countries with 16 countries surveyed in 2016. According to the latest survey, 61 percent said they had their previous experience in online harassment.

    36 percent said they personally know the harasser. 17 percent said that harassers are friends or family members. 19 percent said that the harasser was known to them earlier.

    A quarter of the survey said they knew the harasser online through online. 37 percent said that their risks online are entirely from the stranger. Family members and friends are responsible for most online harassment, said 41 percent of victims of harassment
