Bus crash in Hong Kong killed 18
A bus accident in Hong Kong killed 18 people. At least 50 people were injured in this incident.
The accident occurred on local time Saturday.
According to the BBC report, some of the horse race workers and visitors were being carried on the bus. The bus receded in the New Territory area suddenly. At the time some passengers came out of the bus through their own efforts.
And the rest of the staff of Fire Services rescued. 18 people including three women were killed on the spot.
The bus was running very fast, police said. The driver of the bus was arrested after the accident.
Police spokesman Li Chi Yi said that the bus driver is currently in police custody. The New Territories (North) Police Department is watching this case.
Meanwhile, after the accident, Hong Kong's chief executive Kerry Lam went to see the injured in the hospital. He expressed deep sorrow for the incident.
Carey told reporters that an independent inquiry into the incident will be led by the judge.
